Phantom CEO: No Plans to Launch Proprietary Blockchain or Pursue IPO
BlockBeats News, November 12th, Phantom Wallet CEO Brandon Millman recently stated in an interview that the company has no intention of launching its own blockchain or pursuing an IPO. The current focus remains on the Solana ecosystem and user-friendly products.
He mentioned that building a proprietary blockchain goes against the openness and composability principles of the crypto industry. Phantom will continue to deepen its presence in Solana. Brandon also stated that, although there is potential for going public, the company is more inclined to rely on support from investors such as a16z, Paradigm, Sequoia, and others to expand through private funding rounds.
