The Qian Zhimin case successfully recovered BTC, with leads from his computer's power-on password and several mnemonic words.
BlockBeats News, December 3rd, The Economic Observer reported that the mastermind behind a money laundering case involving 60,000 BTC, Qian Zhimin, carried a laptop with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet when he fled. After several searches by the British police, multiple electronic devices such as phones, computers, and USB drives were seized. One of the USB drives contained a photo of a page from Qian Zhimin's notebook, which appeared to have been torn out before the police seizure. The photo of the page recorded the startup password of the black laptop and several mnemonic words, such as "number + love," along with some hinting information about the numbers, enabling the previously seized bitcoins to be accessed.
